Siva has a wealth of clinical experience and a very strong academic background. He is a titled APA Musculoskeletal & Sports Physiotherapist, which gives him `Specialist` status.
He completed his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy in 1998 (India) and a Masters in Orthopaedics, Sports and Manual Therapy in 2006 (Adelaide). Siva has worked extensively in workplace injury prevention and management and has particular expertise in job and task analysis, ergonomics, functional capacity evaluation, manual handling and rehabilitation.
Siva’s areas of special interest are: neck and back pain and the management of headaches as well as chronic pain management and sports injuries, especially those
involving the shoulder and knee.
He uses a variety of manual therapy treatment techniques, as well as acupuncture, and places a strong emphasis on assessment, patient education and a management plan to help the patient make a full recovery and minimise the risk of reoccurrence.
It is no surprise that Siva is an enthusiastic cricket supporter – he follows the Chennai Super Kings and has M.S. Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Alex Carey among his favourite players.
